Mental health struggles can leave you feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or alone. At Equilibrium Psychology, we believe therapy should create lasting change. We offer evidence-based psychological therapy that's effective, pragmatic, and deeply compassionate.

As an HCPC registered psychologist and neurodivergent clinician, I specialise in neurodiversity-informed therapy including for ADHD, autism (ASC), and AuDHD, alongside trauma therapy, anxiety treatment, depression support, stress management, and support for self-esteem. Using evidence-based approaches including EMDR therapy, DBT (Dialectical Behaviour Therapy), CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy), Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT) and Schema Therapy, we work as a team to understand what's happening for you and build the skills you need to heal and reach your goals.

This is bespoke therapy, tailored to meet your specific needs. It's collaborative, goal-focused work that respects where you are while helping you get where you want to be. Our approach leaves you feeling cared-for (with compassionate support), confident (with deeper self-understanding), and competent (with practical tools that last).

Dr Megan Brophy, Forensic Psychologist

Megan Brophy

HCPC Registered Practitioner Forensic Psychologist

I'm a neurodivergent psychologist with extensive experience working with highly complex difficulties across a range of settings. My career has taken me from high-security prisons and secure hospitals to working as a Principal Psychologist in NHS community mental health and hospital settings, and working privately in a clinic on Harley Street.

This breadth of experience means I understand complexity—not just in theory, but through years of working with people facing the most challenging circumstances. I bring this depth of knowledge to my private practice, offering compassionate, evidence-based therapy that's informed by real-world understanding of trauma, neurodiversity, and mental health.

As a neurodivergent clinician, I have a lived understanding of how brains work differently, which shapes my approach to therapy. I believe in meeting you where you are, tailoring our work together to fit your unique needs, and building the skills that will serve you long after our sessions end.

In addition to therapeutic work, I conduct specialist ADHD assessments and lecture on psychological topics, bringing academic rigour and up-to-date expertise to my clinical practice.
